GAINSBOURG

Some of you may not know alot about the life of Serge Gainsbourg.
But you sure as sh*t would recognise the names of the ladies in his life!
Jane Birkin anyone?
Brigitte Bardot?
Charlotte Gainsbourg?
I thought so.
(Okay, so Charlotte is his daughter.)
But his romances with both Brigitte and Jane are at the centre of the new biopic,
Gainsbourg, which opens nationally on November 4th.
Based around the life of the notorious French singer, poet and actor,
the film explores his life from his early years in 1940s Nazi-occupied Paris,
the fantasy world that drove his inspiration, the great women he loved and lost,
and most of all the music that made him a legend.

One of my absolute favourite images of Isabel.
She's unbelievably stunning on her own, but pair her with Viktor & Rolf
and Simon Lekias and you have an absolute fashion photography dream!


The lovely folk at Hopscotch have given me 10 preview passes
to give away to the advance screening of The Waiting City, Isabel's
newest film, in which she stars alongside Joel Edgerton and Radha Mitchell.
Liss of Daydream Lily has done an amazing post about the film on her blog here,
along with a brief interview with Australian director Clare McCarthy.


The film centres around an Australian couple (Edgerton & Mitchell) who travel
to India to collect the child they're in the process of adopting.
However when they arrive they find that the arrangements have yet to be finalised.
They soon find themselves intoxicated by the mystic power of the city and the
vulnerability of their marriage slowly begins to reveal itself as they are
pulled in separate and unexpected directions.
The Waiting City is an intimate, complex love story, and the
first Australian feature to be shot entirely in India.
