I've been meaning to post about this book for a few years now!
By far the best find i've EVER had at a second-hand bookstore,
(First edition 1964 - $16 - OH yeah!)
Cecil Beaton's Fair Lady is a hard-back collection of diary entries
written by Cecil during the filming and on the set of My Fair Lady,
which just happens to be one of my all-time favourite movies.
Most people would know Cecil's work as a photographer,
he was such an inspiration to me when I was studying,
but he also designed the sets and costumes for the film.
* Only a true visionary could have ever come up with that Ascot scene! *
The book also includes little sketches of various costume ideas,
along with photographs from fittings and tests with the gorgeous Miss Audrey.
I seriously love it so so much, I hope you enjoy these little snaps.
