NW Magazine asked me to answer a few style questions
as part of their relaunch.
So here they are:
What is the most worn item of clothing in your wardrobe?I have worn this black Country Road basics dress of mine
about a MILLION times in the 2 years since I bought it.
I'm not one to have a closet full of clothes, I like to mix and match
accessories with basic outfits. So I have alot of bags, shoes, and jewellery.
It’s Oscar night and you can be dressed by any designer, who would you choose?Ooo I think I would definitely like some vintage Dior Couture!
Or Chanel. Anything appropriately Chanel.
But i'm very into Couture on the red carpet!
Bring back the big structured gowns I say - we can't always rely on
Sarah Jessica Parker, Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard to attend
the Oscars EVERY YEAR so some of these other girls better step it up!
What trend are you tired of?Grunge! I was never into it.
You can be edgy without looking dirty.
If you could give any celebrity a makeover, who would it be?Kate Winslet always frustrates me because I absolutely LOVE her
but she always looks about 10 years older on the red carpet.
I know fashion isn't everyone's thing - and I have no problem with that,
but i'm sure she has a stylist, and that stylist should be encouraging her
to dress her own age and have a little fun with it!
Who is your celebrity style icon and why?Hands down, inside out,
Diane Kruger.
I think she probably has the most fun with fashion
out of anyone else in Hollywood.
But she's not afraid to experiment and she doesn't have a stylist!
I also
equally ADORE
Marion Cotillard.
She is just a goddess.
A sublimely talented actress who is actually relevant to
the fashion industry and can always be relied upon to bring
a touch of Frenchy chic to any red carpet!
But let it be known that choosing my favourite celebrity style is like
choosing my favourite child (Well, I imagine it would be if I actually had any.)
About 90% of my illustration inspiration comes from celebrity style as it
combines my two great loves, movies and fashion.
To name a couple I love - Sienna Miller, The Olsens, Chloe Sevigny,
Alexa Chung, Gwynnie, Kirsten Dunst and The Kates (Mossy & Bosworth)
