I know this will sound incredibly silly, but I almost didn't post the look since I was embarrassed by my untoned arms. The older I get the more things start to go. Must start doing pilates again.

What's New

The Salvation Army was having a huge sale this past Saturday, so I had to make a stop. While I didn't hit the jackpot, I did find some excellent hidden treasures. Aside from the vintage high waist khakis I posted yesterday, I also bought a vintage navy sweater with white knot buttons, vintage navy high waist shorts, and two vintage wooden tennis rackets!





There is an increasingly odd pattern developing in my thrifting habits. I seem to be buying pieces that recreate my old school uniform!
Now I would like you to look into the faces of mischief!







Don't let their innocent expressions fool you, they are all trouble looking for a place to happen.



Only two more days of dog sitting left- then Cole, Wellie, Pip and I are heading home!
Oh, and I almost forgot! Yesterday, Wellie and I were featured on Chictopia's front page! This is the second time I've been on their front page. Sadly, last time I found out the day after I was up there and my photo was already replaced. Either way, Thank You So Much Chictopia!

Dog Portraits

Well, I'm still sick. I spent all day yesterday in bed drinking hot toddies and plan to do the same thing today. So sadly I won't be able to answer your questions today, but definitely tomorrow. So you have one last day to ask away!

Happy Sundays

You can imagine my surprise when I found out that I won Couture Carrie's blog giveaway!! I've never won a giveaway! Eeek! Isn't this vintage pearl necklace from Alex Keller's Etsy shop just lovely. It will look perfect with my fall wardrobe.



On Friday afternoon, my vintage Ferragamo oxfords arrived in the mail!! They are just absolutely wonderful. Pictures of the two ways I'll wear them this fall, with black opaque tights and bobby socks.



And on Saturday afternoon, my vintage Ferragamo t-straps arrived! Oh, how I adore them. Again, worn with the black opaque tights and bobby socks.



Check out the hilarious card I sent my sister for her 30th birthday!! This funny little Chihuahua had me laughing for probably much longer than necessary. I seriously need to buy a hat like that for Pipin. The inside of the card simply says, "Hola, amigo." Classic.


Off to Salem to take pictures with witches. Well, not exactly. But you'll see.

Commissioned Portrait: Bailey

Bailey was a wonderful dog to draw. Her fur alone provided hours of fun. It was quite a challenge trying to capture her tri-colored fluffiness. Sadly, Bailey has passed on, so I hope that this portrait can help her owners remember the good times.



New packaging for my Lulu Letty Etsy shop:

1. Acid free, archival quality resealable cello bag with LL sticker. Behind that, cardboard insert wrapped in acid free, archival quality tissue paper.
   
2. Finished portrait safe in it's acid free packaging.
3. Black and white tissue papered and grosgrain ribbon wrapped package.
4. Close-up of LL business card.
   


So, let me know what you all think about the portrait and packaging. I'm always open to suggestions and helpful criticism.


Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention that ModCloth listed me as a style inspiration on Tuesday!! I was so proud and honored! I felt quite cool. ;)
