Do you ever have those moments when you
feel like all of your creativity is blocked
and you don't quite trust your own judgement?
That's me right now.
I have finished all of the pieces for my show
but I feel like they're lacking something.
So much so i'm not sure i'm ready to reveal them just yet.
My issue is that i'm something of a perfectionist.
I love that I can create the perfect shade and shape
in photoshop to enhance my pencil work.
In an exhibition environment it's nice to
have original artworks rather than just prints.
At the moment i'm sitting amongst a pile of
fabric, glitter, glue, watercolours and paper,
wondering what to do next.
Making that first mark onto a completed
pencil drawing is so nerve-wracking.
Anyway.
I'm sure this doesn't instill alot of confidence
in those attending the show on Wednesday.
But as I said, i'm a perfectionist.
If I don't like it it wont go in.
I'll be up til the wee hours tonight making sure
everything looks perfect before I head to Melbourne.
Liss (Daydream Lily) will be waiting for me with
a bottle of wine and a block of chocolate
and we'll make the final selections!
So blog post of final work tomorrow.
